16 photos.

I will try to be brief and accompany these photos of the apartment with quite useful tips for those who wish to prepare for interior photography.

  1. Take a close look at the interior space as if you were seeing it for the first time.

We usually don’t pay attention to the little things. The brain “filters” them, generalizing the picture of perception.

In an interior photo, everything must be placed very deliberately, otherwise the flaws become extremely obvious.

This means looking through the camera’s viewfinder is worth spending the extra time planning your shot and straightening, aligning, moving, announcing and / or organizing objects.

Here are some things to watch out for: crooked lampshades, uneven bedspreads, bookshelves without books, rugs and chairs, and crooked vertical lines. Pay attention to the corners of the room and the edges of the furniture. Add details to the frame. Sometimes, a cup of coffee or a bowl of fruit or a bouquet can add a sense of warmth and life to a photograph.

2. Interior lighting

A large photograph is almost always associated with an abundance of details and the relationship between them. Think about the maximum details and their location. Avoid conceptual photographs such as Carlson’s “Very Lonely Rooster”.

5. Dangerous reflections in the interior

Lacquered surfaces of furniture, parquet, mirrors can revive the interior, and can ruin it. Watch your reflection and glare carefully. The self-timer or polarizing filter may be helpful. Interior photography for designer Ilya Makotinsky Interernaya fotosemka dlya dizainera Ili Makotinskogo Interior photography for designer Ilya Makotinsky Interernaya fotosemka dlya dizainera Ili Makotinskogo Interior photography for designer Ilya Makotinsky Interior photography for designer Ilya Makotinsky
